ESET discovers MythicRatatoskr, a new cyber threat
ESET researchers have identified the Go-based backdoor MythicRatatoskr used in an attack on a Ukrainian company in the agricultural sector.
ESET security researchers have identified a previously unknown cyber threat, named MythicRatatoskr.
It is a backdoor developed in the Go programming language. This malicious tool hides its command and control server within the Yggdrasil mesh network.
The use of this backdoor paved the way for a destructive attack targeted against a Ukrainian agricultural company specializing in grain production. The spread of this threat has been associated with a collaboration between the UAC-0099 and Sandworm groups.
