Microsoft Edge develops faster, seamless updates
Microsoft Edge is testing a prototype to apply security updates without interrupting the user's work.

Microsoft is developing new ways to optimize the distribution of security updates on the Microsoft Edge browser. The main goal of this project is to ensure that the latest protections reach users much faster, minimizing disruptions during daily activities.
To achieve this milestone, a prototype dedicated to continuous updates was presented. This system shows how the browser can update directly in the background while the user continues their work without having to interrupt the session. The novelty aims to improve protection while maintaining operational continuity.
Furthermore, the Restar function is available starting today to allow optimized management of the update experience. The new approach rethinks traditional mechanisms, aiming to combine timely security with fluidity in the use of the software.
