According to the latest edition of the Microsoft Digital Defense Report, government agencies and services were the sector most targeted by cyber threats during 2026.
The recorded data show how hostile activities directed against these structures reached 27% of the observed total. This value highlights a significant increase compared to the previous year, when the share linked to the same structures stood at 17%.
